Protection of personal information
Space for Life adheres to the privacy and security policy of the Ville de Montréal.
My Space allows you to create a user account in which you specify your communication preferences and potentially your choices of subscription to our newsletters. Information of a personal nature is not mandatory and is collected with the goal of getting to know you better and possibly sending you more relevant communications according to your profile (only if you have agreed to subscribe to the Space for Life newsletter).
This information is strictly confidential and will be used only for this purpose.
You can access your profile at any time to update your data and communication preferences. It is also possible for you to delete your account at any time.
The My Space section of Space for Life (Ville de Montréal) manages the use of personal information in compliance with the standards enacted in the Québec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms (R.S.Q., c. C-12); the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (S.C. 2000, c. 5); the Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information (R.S.Q., c. A-2.1); the Archives Act (R.S.Q., c. A-21.1); the Civil Code (a. 35 to 41) and Québec Bill 86 (2005), the Act modifying the Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information and other legislative provisions.
Participation in the blogs and forums
We ask all participants to write their contributions in a perspective of respectful exchange. Comments that are defamatory, racist or obscene in nature, or where the intention is to advertise or promote, will not be posted. Comments not related to the Space for Life blog may also be removed without notice by the moderator.
In publishing a comment, you accept that the publisher of the blog in question make use of it free of charge and with no limit as to place or support.
The objective being to foster informal exchanges, blogs and forums are moderated a posteriori, meaning, a moderator reads and validates each contribution after its publication. The moderator reserves the right to remove without notice any comment deemed to not comply with the Space for Life charter. Any username, avatar or inappropriate content may at any time be deleted by the moderator.
